Many Rashtrakuta rulers held titles ending in '-Avaloka' suffix, meaning the 'one who is verily the sight' of a quality the word preceding it. There is no certainty about who held the title 'Praghātāvaloka', or 'verily the sight of a blow or an attack' but it fits in with other titles like 'Ranāvaloka', 'Vikramāvaloka', etc. An alternative reading could even be 'Prayāsāvaloka'.
