Rashtrakutas of Gujarat (Lata), copper coin attributed to Karkka Suvarnavarsha (818-826 AD), unpublished in major sources, 2.80g. Obv: Figure of Garuda standing facing, head turned to left with a halo; Brahmi legend Shri Ka to the left of its feet. Rev: Indistinct symbol.

Very fine, Rare.

The attribution of the coin is on the basis of the truncated legend combined with an emblem that was closely connected with the Rashtrakutas. The legend most likely continues to complete the king's name on the other side of the Garuda's feet.
