An additional legend punch with “No” inscribed in Kannada, which is the initial of word "Nolamba" and it is very rare in this coin. Slight crack in elephant goad punch.

Good very fine, Very rare.

Nolambas thrived as feudatories to the Rashtrakutas in the 9th and 10th century CE. They ruled from Hemavati, now in modern Andhra Pradesh, for nearly 350 years, and were often feudatories to the Gangas. They issued magnificent coins throughout their reign and their coins are well sought after by the collectors. The legend “Lenkka” literally means “warrior”, analogous to “Banta” seen in the Gadyanas of the Nidugal Cholas.
