Kakatiyas of Warangal - gold punch-marked gadyana, repousse fabric, (900-1000AD), 3.84g, 29.63mm. Obv: nine punches struck deeply on a very thin flan - 5x boar facing right with sun and moon above, 2x Kannada letter 'Shri', 1x Kannada legend Manda and 1x Kannada legend lika.

Extremely fine, Exceedingly rare.

Most likely an issue of Gunda IV (955-995AD), an early Kakatiya ruler who ruled as a feudatory of the Rashtrakutas. The title 'Mandalika' might refer to the feudatory status of Gunda IV.
