Kadamba Feudatories under the Yadavas, silver drammas (2), unpublished in major sources, 0.94g and 0.85g respectively. Obv: Stylized lion facing right. Rev: A horizontal sword, a tiger-like animal above it and Devanagari legend Sri(?) Kadamba/Satousa in two lines below. (2 coins)

Very fine+, Extremely rare.

These two coins undoubtedly are of the same type, but with differing extents of reverse details visible. Putting the two together, it is evident that the reverse is composed of two features: a symbolic component and a legend. The symbols most likely have a dynastic connection, while the legend appears to be a title, than a name. The coins cannot be precisely attributed, but it is clear that they were issued by a member whose family name was 'Kadamba', but not to be confused with the major Kadamba dynasties ruling to the South the Yadava domains.
