Chandellas of Jejakabhukti, Prithvivarman, Copper, 4.79g, Obv: Hanuman / warrior standing facing with a bow in his hand, Rev: Devnagari legend “Shri Matpru / thvi Deva”. Very fine, rare.
Prithvivarman and his elder brother Sallakshanavarman were sons of the Chandela ruler Kirttivarman from the same mother, as stated in the Mau inscription. He succeeded his nephew Jayavarman as the king.
