Chalukyas of Kalyani or feudatories, gold punch-marked Gadyana in the name of Jayasimha II Jagadekamalla (1044-1068 AD), 3.71g. Obv: Nine punches: 5x stylized lion facing left, 2x Kannada letter 'Shri', 1x broad bladed dagger/temple and 1x Kannada legend Jagadeka. Rev: Small punch of Hanuman running to right.

Very fine, Rare.

The reverse punch suggests that the coin was in all likelihood an issue of the Kadambas of Hangal, as feudatories of the Chalukyas, struck during the reign of Shantivarman II, the Kadamba king.
