Chahamanas (Chauhans) of Delhi and Ajmer - billon 'bull-and-horseman' type jital of Prithviraja II or Pithimva Deva (c.1167-1169AD), Deyell 214, 3.42g. Obv: bull seated couchant facing left, Devanagari legend Jendaraja Shri Samanta Deva around. Rev: horseman marching to right; Devanagari legend Shri Pithimva Deva around.

Extremely fine, Very scarce.

Prithviraja II was the Chauhan ruler of Ajmer and preceded the more famous Prithviraja III. His coins are much rarer than those of Prithviraja III.
