Intriguing medieval vellum document. The ornate Gothic manuscript is written in Latin with large initial letters and notary sign. It appears the scribe begins to run out of room as lines of text get closer farther down the page. Verso features a French inscription in a different hand dated 1340. Significant toning with tear and small stain to bottom edge of 14.5'' x 11.75'' document. Minor separation at folds, else very good condition.
