Hoyasalas of Dwarasamudra, Vinayaditya, Gold Gadyana, 3.99g, Obv: Majestic Elephant standing and facing to right above the central motif Lion, Sun and Crescent symbols on two side of the Elephant, Pedestal lamp in front of the Lion. A pair of Peeta below the Lion, Rev: Three-line Kannada legend “Shri ma/laparo/lu ganda”, the title of King Vinayaditya. Extremely fine for type, extremely rare.
Exceedingly Rare and choice specimen. The malapas, the people who were part of the Kongalva kingdom soon were annexed into the Hoysala kingdom and hence the very title seen in the reverse of the coin that signifies it.
