Chandellas of Jejakabhukti, Jayavarman, Gold 1 1/8 Masha, 0.94g, Obv: Stylized Goddess Lakshmi seated facing front, Rev: Devnagari legend “Shri Majja/ ya Vamma/ Deva”. About extremely fine, rare.
Jayavarman was the son of his predecessor Sallakshanavarman and was succeeded by his nephew Prithvivarman. Very little historical information is known about him. The Mau inscription calls him the residence of ‘generosity, truth, policy and heroism’.
