The first of a series of coin medallions about the size of a silver dollar privately struck by the Catholic Art Guild in Canton Ohio.

1ST Station
The Obverse side shows Jesus as he is condemned to Death appearing with his hands bound before Pontius Pilate as he sits on the judges bench in a place called the Stone Pavement (in Hebrew Gabbatha) as Pontius Pilate washs his hands in a bowl of water held by a servant,saying "I am innocent of this man's blood".
The 1ST Station of Cross shown was scupltured by Evangelos Fraudakis.

The reverse side is Crosses sculptured by Jozsef Vudy.

Proof Editions were Limited to 5,000 pieces of which this is 0297.

1ST Station of the Cross Medallion is 24kt gold electroplated over Sterling Silver.

The Medallion in plastic case is 1.510 oz and a diameter of 36mm or about 3 1/2".

The pictures do not justice to the detail and true workmanship of the religious piece.
