<B>Medal of Honor Winner Audie Murphy Signature</B></I> on card, 5.5 x 2, mounted on stiff card stock. In addition to his bold signature '<I>Audie Murphy</B></I>, he has written <I>War is what I said in To Hell and Back - that's it!</B></I>. Texas born Audie Murphy (1924-1971) was America's most decorated soldier of WWII. Attached to the 3rd Infantry Division, Murphy spent 27 months in active combat. He was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for single-handedly holding up a German attack near Holzwihr, France, on January 26, 1945. His military exploits were the subject of the film <I>To Hell and Back</B></I> in which Murphy starred. In addition to acting, Murphy spent his post-war life song writing, ranching, and in various other business endeavors.
