Medal - ROMANIA - THE LOYAL SERVICE ORDER (1932)
Commander`s Cross, for civil, 2nd model (1935); neck badge, silver gilt concave cross, concave light blue enamel on both sides and laurel wreaths between the limbs. The medallion on the obverse bears the Romanian coat of arms, the reverse medallion with the inscription "Serviciu Credincios", for Loyal Service. Slight chip on one arm, with large original ribbon. Extremely rare, high quality order! The order was instituted on April, 29th 1932 by King Carol II in three classes (Grand Cross, Grand Officer and Commander), at the same time replacing the two bottom grades of the Order of Carol I. In 1937 the collar and officer classes were added and the order was included among war decorations (through the addition of swords). The order was very high positioned in the Romanian hierarchy, before the older national orders, "The Star of Romania" and "The Crown of Romania".
