The order was instituted on April, 29th 1932, by the King Carol II, in three classes (Grand Cross, Grand Officer and Commander), at the same time replacing the two bottom grades of the Order Carol I. In 1937 the collar and officer classes were added and the order was included among war decorations (swords). The order was very high positioned in the Romanian hierarchy, before the older national orders, "The Star of Romania" and "The Crown of Romania". Sash Badge silver gilt concave cross, ovalized light blue enamel on both sides and laurel wreaths between the limbs. The medallion on the averse with Romanian coat of arms, the reverse medallion with the inscription "Serviciu Credincios", for Loyal Service, hallmark and silver mark "14-43". Slight chip on one arm on piece of original ribbon. Breast Star with crown above the medallion, silver enamelled, maker's mark "Heinrich Weiss - Bucarest", silver hallmark "304-36, crown" and maker's mark on the reverse pin. Extremely rare set, high quality and good condition.
