Medal honoring the Commander of The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, accompanied by the bestowal document. Commanders' breast badge is of the first type, made in the shape of a cross fleury with ice blue enamel over guilloche limbs. At the center is a gold or bronze medallion depicting an enthroned figure in profile with sun in the sky, surrounded by a red enamel border reading, ''For God And The Empire''. Medal is topped with an articulated openwork crown attached to a loop for suspending. Verso bears the monogram of George V as ''G.R.I.'', George Rex Imperator. Accompanied by its 12'' x 1.75'' purple grosgrain ribbon and document bestowing the medal on the new commander, Dudley Sinclair Marjoribanks, Esq., with facsimile signature of George and signed on the second page, ''Edward P''. Medal measures 2.5'' x 3.75''. Near fine. Ribbon shows fraying to the top, else near fine. Document runs 2pp. on a sheet of card-style stationery, measuring 8'' x 12.75''. Toning, else near fine.
