Incorporated in 1871. Cert. #89 issued in 1871 to E.L. Peckham, Trustee for 50 shares. One rose R48 R4 stamp tied adhesive perf stamp at left. Signed by J.W. Colburn, secretary and president, [illegible]. Davis mentioned that the Meadow Valley mine had strong competition from the Raymond & Ely mine. The Meadow Valley Mining Co. was incorporated after F.L.A. Pioche sent Chas. Hoffman to purchase the property. This is likely the east extension of the parent Meadow Valley mine as the Meadow Valley was incorporated in 1869, two years before the East Extension. [REF: Davis, The History of Nevada, 2009].
