<B>McKinley & Roosevelt: Best of the Dramatic, Large Brass Shell Badges.</B></I> Teddy is on horseback, saber drawn, with "McKinley & Roosevelt for 1900" around and "Roosevelt at San Juan" below. The separate element between the eagle/pin and the large badge is inscribed, "Vote With Rough Riders for..." Cardboard insert on reverse reads, "The Rough Rider Club Campaign Badge Originated to supply the demands of the fast-forming Rough Rider Clubs, emblematic of the loyalty and patriotism of McKinley and Roosevelt as Statesmen and Hero for 1900." These thin shell badges and their vulnerable cardboard backs are notoriously found with bends, stains, and damage. But this example is absolutely pristine and surely unimprovable.
