<B>McKinley & Roosevelt: Two Spectacular Large Hand-Painted Cloth Campaign Banners</B></I>. For sheer, overwhelming presence and appeal, this bold, colorful pair form one of the finest political display items we have ever been privileged to offer! Their provenance could not be more impressive as well: for decades they resided in the collection of Arthur Schofield, a pioneering political collector and A.P.I.C. secretary from 1960-62. They then passed into the legendary collection of Kenton Broyles of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. Signed by the artist, “B. J. Hasper Belfast, N. Y.,” minor hints of light water staining and very slight aging are noted for accuracy, but as the photos show, these banners are in great display condition. The scalloped sides are a unique and appealing touch on banners of this type. Each measures 35” x 50”.
