"WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS BY THE AUCTIONEER ONCE ALL BIDS HAVE BEEN PROCESSED TO DETERMINE THE WINNER FOR EACH LOT."
1872 McKenney & Hall print of ''Naw-kaw, A Winnebago Chief'' from “The History of the Indian Tribes of North America With Biographical Sketches and Anecdotes of the Principal Chiefs,” 1872 octavo edition. 7.5'' x 10'' print accompanied by 7pp. of text from book on the Chief. McKenney, first Superintendent of Indian Trade, commissioned Charles Bird King to paint chiefs visiting Washington D.C. to negotiate peace. Only five of the original portraits survived an 1865 fire. Excellent print.
