Double oval vignette of men loading oil barrels from tanks with a coal train in the background crossing a bridge. Two smaller vignettes in bottom corners: Native American and elk. Printed by Wm. Mann, Philadelphia. 25 cent US IR certificate stamp attached at bottom center. 6.25 x 10" Folds, clean. According to a February 21st, 1865 York Gazette article, the company purchased 121 acres of coal and oil land near French Creek and Franklin in Venango County, Pennsylvania. The coal vein is five feet thick.
