This McClellan officers saddle is a model 1912 experimental cavalry saddle as pictured on page 111 of “United States Military Saddles 1812 - 1943” by Randy Steffen. In the book it states these experimental saddles were made between 1912 and 1918 and very little of this equipment exists today (p. 117). It says 16” seat on it and is in fairly good overall vintage condition. Mostly complete (missing the cinch). Shipping: There will be a $20 handling / packaging fee for shipping this lot. The actual cost of postage will be added on top of that.
