This is an early pair of McChesney silver mounted Ladies Cowgirl spurs from the 19th century. The spurs have a straight shank and features a floral engraved pattern with beautiful silver inlay and spots. J.R. McChesney (1867-1928) is considered to be one of the finest and most innovative spur makers of the 19th century and is credited with the popularity of the Gal Leg spurs. Very scarcely seen original lady’s cowgirl spurs from the late 19th century. These are considered to be in all original rare condition for their age. Each measures 3.5”x5.75”.
