Actress (1862–1938) best known for her role in Thomas Edison’s 1896 Kinetoscope production, ‘The Kiss,’ in which she took part in the first kiss in cinematic history. Vintage 3.25 x 5.5 full-length postcard photo, signed in black ink, “May Irwin, Nov. 28, 1910.” Light scattered creases and soiling, moderate silvering to the background, and light paper loss to three corners, otherwise very good condition.
