German sociologist and political economist (1864–1920). ALS signed “Cousin Max,” one page, 5 x 8, no date. Weber writes his cousin, Charles. In part: “Thanks for New Year greeting. Enjoyed our few words. You said more than the misled and stupid do in a year. Yes, Russia (Soviet) is kicking the apple-cart over…I will write soon a long letter.” In fine condition, with few tiny areas of staining. Great reference to the Soviets from the man best-known for his disenchantment with capitalism.
