Mauser Model 98 bolt action snipe’s rifle mounted with quick detachable scope marked “W. Bischoff, Braunschweig” on one side and “Dinox 4 X 81” on the other side, displaying very good optics, 7.92mm cal., 24-1/2”barrel, military blue finish, wood stock, leather sling, #2611. This gun is in overall very good condition with all matching visible numbers, flip-up muzzle cover, nazi marked stock that is also numbered to the gun and in good condition, very good bore, crisp action. It is very unusual to find a sniper’s rifle with all matching numbers including the bolt as knowledgeable collectors are aware German marksmen often utilized severalbolts with their rifles depending on field conditions, etc.; a very desirable military specialty firearm!
