Mauser Model 98 WW II issue service rifle, CE manufacturers code, 1943 date, #6956 with Nazi inspector’s stamp, original bayonet, scabbard and sling. The metal surfaces remain in good to very good original condition showing 70%-80% thinningand toning arsenal blue finish. The rifle is fitted with a correct bayonet which is marked “Coppel GMBH” which is in very good to near fine condition; the action good, bore good; all major components numbered to match; the stock showscrude eagle and swastika which is unidentified and may be a re-mark; shows many small inspector’s stamps and no import marks. Leather sling present. Est.: $500-$1,000.
