Signed book: The Light Princess. First edition, later printing. NY: Farrar, Strauss and Giroux, 1969. Hardcover with dustjacket, 5 x 7.5, 110 pages. Signed and inscribed on the first free-end page, “Dec. 69, For Sidney & Barbara—Maurice Sendak,” adding a great original sketch of the Light Princess. In fine condition, with a bit of mild toning to signed page and some scattered light wear and soiling to dustjacket. The recipients of the book were Sendak’s professional framers of his works and personal art collection. A nice sketch of one of his lesser known works.
