Maurice Sendak signed copy of his ''perfect'' children's book, ''Where the Wild Things Are''. New York: Harper & Row: 1963. An early printing of the first edition, with no Library of Congress mention on the title page, but with the ISBN number listed on the rear board. Book is signed and inscribed, ''For Erin / Maurice Sendak'' in black ink to title page. Oblong quarto with original cloth-backed pictorial paper boards and grey/green cloth spine, without dustjacket. Minor wear to boards and very light loosening to spine. Very good condition.
