Author of the beloved ''Where the Wild Things Are'' writes to puppeteer friend Herbert Hosmer, ''…Enclosed find my Meggendorfer list…I hope you won't regret seeing some of your books on my list…Yes time has flown. Having great difficulty with my book - not worth going into details - there was a hideous printing error which has held up the works for 4 or 5 weeks - the book is terribly late - I'm depressed & I've spent much of my time with my father who suffers badly…all love, Maurice''.
