This is an excellent example of an M14 type semi-automatic rifle as built by the Maunz company out of Toledo Ohio, using a cast receiver and GI components. Blade front and adjustable peep rear sights, with "WCE" drums, marked "MAUNZ/MATCH RIFLE/0044" on the receiver heel and "TOLEDO/OHIO" on the left side below the rear sight. Equipped with a Springfield "3 62" barrel, "TRW" bolt, "7267064/MFR 24411" operating rod, "7267030-66118" trigger housing, Springfield hammer and HRA safety. A Shepard-brand 3-10x scope with B-Square mount is installed on the receiver. Equipped with a nice commercial stock. The rifle has been partially accurized by unitizing the gas cylinder and stock barrel band, reaming the flash hider to NM standards and then glass bedding the rifle in the stock. It is complete with one commercial leather sling, one ten round, and one 20 round magazine.
BBL: 22 inch round
Stock: walnut
Gauge: 7.62 mm Nato
Finish: parkerized
Grips:
Serial Number: 0044
Condition: Excellent overall with 98% light gray parkerized finish, showing light wear on the bolt and operating rod. Stock is excellent with only a few light handling marks. The scope and mount are both excellent, in near new condition with clear and crisp optics. The 20-round magazine has a rectangular cutout in the left side, possibly for an AR-10 style magazine catch. Mechanically excellent.
