African-American explorer (1866–1955) who was a member of the first party to (possibly) reach the North Pole in 1909. Vintage ink signature, “Matthew Henson,” on an off-white 6 x 9 sheet of Camp Wawayanda stationery, with a collector’s notation under signature. In fine condition, with two horizontal folds, and a rusty paperclip mark to top edge.
