Three items signed by Ridgway: a TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.25, personal letterhead, October 11, 1970, in part: "I am happy to autograph and to return herewith the covers of 'U.S. News & World Reports' which you sent. In reply to your questions, I regard the frequent North Korean threats to invade the South and the charges that South Korea plans war against it, as politically and economically motivated. Unless either the USSR or China decides to give full support to a North Korean attack on the R.O.K., a highly improbable contingency, there seems to be little likelihood of war on the Korean Peninsula"; the front cover of U.S. News & World Report from May 9, 1952, depicting Ridgway under the heading, 'Climax in Korea,' signed at the bottom in ink, "M. B. Ridgway"; and the pages of the "Climax in Korea" cover article, signed on the first page in ink, "M. B. Ridgway." In overall fine condition, with light handling wear to the magazine cover.
