<B>Matt Wagner and Joe Matt - Batman/Grendel: Devil's Masque #2, page 46, With Two Color Guides Original Art (DC, 1993).</B></I> Hunter Rose, otherwise known as the antihero Grendel, mixes it up with Batman in this savage donnybrook, written and drawn by Grendel's creator, Matt Wagner. The image area of this thriller measures approximately 11" x 17". Also included in this lot are two hand painted color guides (for pages 15 and 46), done by alternative cartoonist Joe Matt, of Peepshow fame. For these guides, the color was painted on paper, using the "blue line" process, while each page's black line art was added using an acetate overlay. Each color guide has an overall size of 14" x 20". All three of these pieces are in Excellent condition.
