Greek-born Italian journalist and novelist (1856–1927). ALS in French, one page both sides, signed “Matilda Serao.” 5.5 x 4.25, Societa Anonima, “Il Giorno,” Napoli letterhead, January 23, 1906. In a response to an associate to meet, Serao responds, translated in full: “I will be very pleased to meet an American colleague. Tomorrow, Wednesday, you will find me at the office of Il Giorno from noon to 2 o’clock, and after 3 o’clock at my home, Piastra Vittoria 7. Probably in your excursions in Naples, you will find five minutes to dedicate to me.” In fine condition, with a rusty paper clip mark at the top left corner.
