A) Miquelet Pistol. This lot consists of a pair of fine Miquelet pistols that most likely are of Spanish origin. The part octagon smooth bore barrel gauges at approximately .65 caliber and the top barrel flat at the breech has a stamped "EDU / MO" proof. A second proof ("MAS / DEU") is marked on the front of the frizzen. The face of the frizzen is grooved. The side plate, trigger guard, buttcap and two stock overlays are brass and feature engraving. A belt hook is mounted on the left side of the stock. The full length stock is raised relief carved around the upper tang and has a flared butt. Complete with a horn tipped wooden ramrod.

Condition: Very good. The iron surfaces have been cleaned bright at one time and are beginning to age again. There is some minor pitting on the barrel. The brass has a smooth aged patina. Ramrod is missing horn tip. There is a long crack on the underside of the forearm, otherwise the stock is also very good with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.

Condition: Very good. The iron surfaces have been cleaned bright at one time and are beginning to age again. There is some minor pitting on the barrel. The brass has a smooth aged patina. The stock is fine with some minor dings and scratches with a couple small hairline cracks near the side plate. Mechanically functions, but hammer sticks a bit.
