Massive spear point Bowie knife marked Holtzapffel and Co. 64 Charing Cross, with German silver guard and mounts, stag grip, circa 1850s-60s. The blade measures 14-1/8", 20-1/2" overall, the blade approximately 2"wide at widest point and constructed of thick stock measuring nearly 5/16" in width at widest point of back edge. The grip measures 6-1/4" from guard to pommel. The blade is beautifully ground and made by a top qualitymaker; the blade is in very good+ to near fine condition showing its original polish with minor staining and scratching. The stag grip is nicely aged with good patina and good patina on German silver mounts.Incredibly well balanced and of the type favored during the Civil War. Est.: $3,000-$6,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
