Impressive & monumental antique flintlock wall or swivel gun, circa. 1740-1760. Probably Dutch manufacture. Heavy 45.25"L, 1.5" W smooth-bore octagon-to-round barrel with fixed swivel post mount. Note pitting from exposure to the elements and oxidization. Huge flintlock 8 6/8" W which is unmarked and probably of Dutch form. Steel trigger guard of a wide flat form. Steel side plate and barrel band at muzzle. No butt plate or ram rod. The stock is solid with typical wear and scratches from use. Original flintlock configuration and in good mechanical order. Size 65.5" overall.

By participating in this auction bidders agree that all lots are sold as is without any warrants or representations with respect to the lots. The auctioneer retains the right to reject any bid and to withdraw or pass any lot at his or her absolute discretion. When identical absentee bids are submitted the auctioneer will accept the first bid presented at his or her discretion. The highest bidder as determined by the auction house shall be responsible to pay for the hammer, buyer's premium and any applicable sales tax. Ownership of lots shall not be transitioned to the respective winning bidder until the auction house is satisfied with all funds being transferred and cleared to the auction house's account. All sales are final. Buyers have 10 days to arrange for removal of lots from the auction houses facility. After 10 days the auction house reserves the right to charge a $5 storage fee for each additional day until the lots have been removed. The auction house reserves the right to relist and sell any lots which have accrued a storage fee larger than the hammer plus buyer's premium total for a given lot. Shipping and safe delivery of the lots is the buyer's responsibility. The auction house reserves the right to update or remove any lot listed at the auction house's discretion.
