Massive European made single-action revolver marked "Hudson Bay" on barrel. In approx. 9mm rimfire. Serial #41, smooth bored. The pistol measures 14-1/2" overall with 7" barrel. The pistol features a 6-shot cylinder, octagon barrel, removable ejector rod mounted on bottom of barrel, nicely scroll engraved on frame with rolled cylinder scene similar to Colt Dragoon scene, massive checkered wood grip and smooth bored. The right side of frame is engraved Henot's patent in English. The revolver shows 80-90% European restored 19th century type blue finish, sharp original grips. Crisp overall with 100% scene, crisp action, bright bore, sharp edge, and Belgium proofs. An obvious attempt by European manufacturers to enter the North American market, possibly the fur or trapper trade, with a shot-loaded rimfire round. Interesting that the revolver can not be sighted until the center hammer is cocked back. The only example known to this cataloger. Est.$1,500 - $3,000
