Mass. Arms Co. Adams Patent Navy Model Martial percussion revolver, .36 cal., 6” barrel, blue finish, checkered walnut grips, #593. This very scarce Civil War era gun is in overall very good condition showing Mass Arms Co. stamp on top of the frame, Adam’s Patent stamps on both sides of the lower frame and Kerr’s Patent stamp on the flat of the barrel side-mounted loading lever. The finish of the gun shows traces of original blue in protected areas with the balance gone to a brown patina; very good bore, crisp action, sharp markings including inspector initials on the frame, cylinder, barrel and loading lever; the grips are in overall very good condition and show an inspector’s cartouche on both sides with a particularly sharp “W.A.T.” on the right grip. A key piece for the Civil War Martial pistol collector. Est.: $1,250-$2,500.
