This Piano, Serial No. 36395 has a new soundboard, pin block, and has been completely rebuilt and professionally restored. The piano action is highly responsive and the "touch" is as good as it gets.
This piano is a Type 8, manufactured from mid to late 1925 until the Type B was introduced in 1929.

It has all of the factory updates and improvements the Type A pianos had during their life.

Includes bench, as pictured, and original roll cabinet with well over 100 rolls.
A reproducing piano, like a player piano, is a regular piano with a mechanism that allows the piano to play automatically. Reproducing pianos have sophisticated playing capability that permits automatic adjustment of expression and volume of musical notes, thus reproducing the performance of the original artist. When reproducing pianos were introduced in the early 20th century, they were extremely expensive; most reproducing pianos are fine grand pianos.

Ampico reproducing pianos were the most popular of the reproducing pianos. Ampico's music catalog emphasized popular music. The drawer beneath the keyboard which houses the roll playing mechanism. The drawer can be closed and hidden from sight.
This Mason & Hamlin is an RAA (6' 2"). It was a special order. Their were very few Mason & Hamlin pianos
