Artist. ALS, two pages, 5 x 8, personal letterhead, March 5, 1952. In part: “Wood-stencils is a technique which I developed; the outcome of the direct stencils made during the influence of the late Emil Ganso and wood cuts made recently while working with Louis Schanker. Also I have worked with Stanley Williams Hayter at the Print Club Workshop. As wood-stencils require considerable time to print I usually produce them in editions of six. They are all in color.” Several creases along the top of both pages and a strip of light toning across the central mailing fold, otherwise fine condition.
