Portrait painter, illustrator, muralist, lithographer, etcher. Born in San Francisco, CA on Nov. 28, 1908. Finley was a graduate of UC Berkeley where she studied under Hans Hofmann. She was an art teacher at Los Angeles City College (1935-42), UCLA (1950), Occidental College (1950-51), and Chouinard Art Institute. Early in life she was Mrs. Jack Fry; she later married real estate broker Irvin C. Thomas. The artist was a resident of Studio City, CA until her demise on June 19, 1964. Member: Calif. WC Society. Condition: Very good, stable condition with craquelature throughout the painting. Recently cleaned and varnished. The frame is hand made with gold leaf applied on it. The two left side corners need minor touch up
