Doris was a Central Florida local TV personality that had connections with the treasure salvor community during the early days in the 60s and 70s. She was the "Frigidaire Queen" for Claude H. Wolfe & Co., performed in commercials for the Orlando Utilities Commission as well as Borden Dairy, commercials for WESH-TV. Her radio experience and high visibility as a local celebrity even took her to WFTV channel nine and a 10 minute segment on the daily "Eyewitness News" program. This book tells the story of 16 famous underwater archaeologists, scientists, and treasure hunters. Included amongst the treasure hunters are: Art McKee, Tom Gurr, Kip Wagner, Mel Fisher, Teddy Tucker and Edwin Link.
