These miniature Avco World Trophies were given to members of the 1974-75 Houston Aeros to celebrate their Avco Cup Championship. This specific one was awarded to hockey great Marty Howe and it's been a cherished part of his personal collection ever since. 1974-75 was the second of back-to-back championships that Marty shared with his legendary father Gordie and brother Mark. The Aeros dominated the regular season winning 53 games then only losing a single game in the playoffs. As a stellar stay at home defenseman, Marty scored 34 points in 75 games that season.

The trophy stands 13" tall with a plate on the front that proudly displays the team and Marty's name. The reverse displays two plates, one proclaiming the Houston Aeros as World Champions, the other naming all players and executives. The Avco World Trophy was only awarded for seven seasons from 1972-1979. Player trophies such as these are incredibly scarce.
