Van Buren orders the secretary of state to “affix the seal of the United States to the order for the pardon of John Williams.” Archivally double matted and framed with a seated portrait of Van Buren and a name plaque to an overall size of 21.5 x 16.5. In fine condition, with expected folds, and a thin area of toning to top right.
