Martin Luther King, Jr.: Signed Stride Toward Freedom. (New York: Harper & Brothers, 1958), 230 pages, blue cloth binding shelf-backed in black cloth with silver lettering on the spine and front board, 8vo (5.75" x 8.25"), dust jacket (in protective Mylar), housed in a purple quarter leather slipcase with marbled boards and gilt titles & five raised bands on the spine. Signed "Best Wishes Martin Luther King Jr." on the front free endpaper. Stride Toward Freedom is Dr. King's inspirational account of the Montgomery Bus Boycott in December, 1955, and a rare book in its own right, signed or not. The book is in very good condition with some edge wear present and bumped corners. The dust jacket is good, with noticeable chipping at the spine head and tail and rubbing around the edges. A rare chance to obtain an early Martin Luther King signed book.

Shipping: Books & Catalogs (view shipping information)
