<B>Martin Luther King Jr. Signed First Day Cover.</B></I> One page, 6.5" x 3.75", cover is postmarked Chicago, Illinois, August 16, 1963. This lovely display not only features a handsome black and white of the great orator and civil rights leader but also a wonderful first day cover celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation. The illustration on the cover shows Abraham Lincoln and a slave man being released from his chains. It is quite fitting that Dr. King would have signed this monumental first day cover, the anniversary of one of the most famous presidential orders ever. The cover is in very fine condition, with some adhesive residue present on the center of the envelope. The photo is also in near mint condition. Framed to an overall size of 11.5" x 20".
