Martin Luther King Jr. Signature "To Ray With Best Wishes Martin Luther King Jr." in ink on a 5.5" x 4" (sight size) album page, handsomely double matted with an 8" x 10" B&W informal portrait to an overall size of 12" x 19". King was a clergyman, civil rights leader, and Nobel Peace Prize winner whose untiring work was instrumental in obtaining passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. A brilliant and moving orator, he gave a speech in Memphis in April 1968 in which he said, "I just want to do God's will. And he's allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I've looked over, and I've seen the Promised Land...So I'm happy tonight. I'm not fearing any man." The very next day James Earl Ray assassinated him at a Memphis motel. This is as nice a signature as you'll find of this American icon.
