Important German chemist (1743–1817). Third-person ALS in French, signed “Le Prof: Klaproth,” one page, 3.75 x 2.75, November 13, 1800. Letter to famous chemist Guyton-Morveau, signed within the text, and translated in full: “Professor Klaproth sends Mr. Guyton-Morveau the assurance of his feelings of esteem and devotion through the bearer, Doctor Friedlander, ‘solar amateur’ of Natural History. He is also persuaded that Mr. Guyton-Morveau will be willing to render the services that may contribute to expand the knowledge of this travelling scientist. Berlin, November 13rd 1800.” In fine condition.
